Marco Polo writing day demo- April 28th 2024
This song came completely out of the blue one day, i was sat on the corner of my bed at my dad's house and wrote the whole thing in one sitting. although there are gaps in this recording LOL
And so the demo progressess...my first draft of an actual recording
i wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, and announced this song within the same week LOL i just knew it felt right this being my first song. sooooo heres my first 'recording' even if it sounds questionable...

This song came to me instrumental wise first. I actually produced the whole instrumental before writing lyrics. It came to me because for months i had a non existent song stuck in my head. it actually happens all the time which is how i write a lot of my songs, but this one was so clear and i got it to sound exactly how it did in my head when no such thing existed.

Production wise, this song is my FAVE piece of work. I sampled me screaming doing the ice bucket challenge when i was 7 as the base of the song, and built it from there. i had never properly used sampling, and i got so creative with this song and used all kinds of weird sounds like a creaking door, a bell tower, a sword being drawn that sounds like a knife. I remember being so excited when i was producing this cause ive never made anything like it before, and this is where i started to get really creative with my skills as a producer.
